Rep. Jim Haadsma Says Economic Relief, Lower Costs His Top Priorities for Working Families

State Representative Jim Haadsma, a native of Muskegon representing Michigan’s 44th House District, says he is committed to addressing the high costs facing Michigan's working families.

Recognizing the recent trends of inflation rates and gas prices, Haadsma underscores the urgency of implementing economic relief measures and policy geared towards creating high-paying jobs, funding for schools, and affordable healthcare. Drawing from 38 years of legal and business experience, Haadsma says he has the skills and knowledge to fight for these policies and mentions his record of working on workers rights and unemployment compensation issues.

A resident of Battle Creek since 1994, Haadsma has also been engaged in community service, serving on various boards including the Calhoun County Board, the Art Center of Battle Creek, and the Kiwanis Club of Battle Creek, among others.
