Candidates Robert Wojtowicz and Russ Cleary Run for Michigan's 61st State House District
In the race for Michigan's 61st State House District, multiple candidates are vying to represent the interests of Macomb County residents, including Robert Wojtowicz and Russ Cleary.
Wojtowicz, a Macomb County resident and father, says he is committed to education and the Chippewa Valley School District. As a parent volunteer and PTO member, he says he has been active in supporting the district's educational initiatives. Wojtowicz says he aims to ensure the responsible use of taxpayer dollars and advocate for the success of the school district and its students.
Cleary is also a resident of Macomb County. From serving as Chair of the Michigan State College Republicans to working in the offices of state senators and representatives, Cleary says he has years of political experience. He says he would prioritize investment in manufacturing jobs in Michigan, particularly in the 61st District, to help the state's economy. Clearly says that he puts “American jobs first” and that he would support policies that create jobs in Michigan.
Wojtowicz and Cleary will face off against a third candidate, John Grossenbacher, in the August 6 Republican primary.
