Former Allouez Village Board of Trustees Member Jim Rafter Running for State Senate

Republican candidate Jim Rafter, who is running for State Senate District 30, has spent the past ten years on the Allouez Village Board of Trustees, where “he has been a proactive advocate for Allouez residents and businesses and the needs of the Brown County area, taking leadership roles on significant community issues, such as the closure of Green Bay Correctional Institution, and developing effective partnerships with leaders of neighboring municipalities, Brown County elected officials, and state representatives from both political parties.”

According to a press release from his campaign, he is running for State Senate because he is “driven by a commitment to continue his work in public service, leveraging his in-depth understanding of local government dynamics to benefit a wider constituency.”

Throughout his career, Rafter has worked to help government, nonprofit and corporate organizations use technology to improve the way they do business.
