Anand Patel Says He Will Listen to Working Families, Discusses Lowering Costs In Pennsylvania House Race

Anand Patel, an entrepreneur, says he is focused on economic empowerment and lowering costs for the state's residents in his race for Pennsylvania's 18th State House District. Patel says his economic priorities are aimed at addressing the issues facing the Keystone State, particularly the challenges of low wages.

“Pennsylvanians should have greater opportunity to earn whether through the increase of the minimum wage, or better earnings incentives by the employer,” says Patel on the topic of wages and workers.

According to the U.S. Census, Pennsylvania had a median household income of $73,170 from 2018-2022, which is slightly below the national average of $74,580 in 2022. Patel says that wages are the most pressing issue facing Pennsylvanians and would address it by increasing the minimum wage or better earning incentives to the employer.

Access to quality, affordable healthcare while saving money on drug costs and visits to the doctor are top of mind for many Pennsylvania families. Patel says that making healthcare more affordable and lowering costs are one of his chief priorities, stating "healthcare should be accessed easily and readily available to all."

Pennsylvania's 18th District is located in Bucks County and encompasses Bensalem Township and Hulmeville.
