Anna Payne Says She’s Running to Protect Reproductive Rights

Anna Payne, the Democratic candidate for House District 142, says that she is running to protect reproductive rights in the Pennsylvania State House. Payne posted on X, formerly Twitter, that “when elected, I promise to fight to maintain every Pennsylvanian's right to reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy.”

Payne has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania PAC for the 2024 election cycle. The group extends endorsements to candidates who pledge to support and protect abortion rights if elected.

The Republican candidate for House District 142 is incumbent Rep. Joseph Hogan. Hogan has described himself as a “pro-life guy” and has said that he believes “in the sanctity of all life.” He has also stated that he wanted to limit elective abortions.
