In a bid for Michigan's 55th State House District, Trevis Harrold, an Officer in the United States Army Reserve, says his vision is centered on bolstering families, businesses, and workers across the 55th District and Michigan.

Michigan’s rich manufacturing history forms the backdrop of Harrold’s platform and with recent economic trends pointing to more gradual growth, the state’s future and role as a hub for innovation and industry continues. In light of this, Harold says he supports the state’s future by prioritizing policy that invests in workers and talent. Harold says his economic policy lowers costs by connecting workers with 21st-century job opportunities and combating inflation.

Michigan’s legacy of innovation, from pioneering automobile manufacturing to developing modern fiber optic cables, is on the bleeding edge and world-renowned. However, Harrold says he recognizes the evolving economy and that Michiganders “need to face forward and change with it.” He says by investing in education and fostering partnerships between businesses and local talent, economic growth will reach communities across Michigan, create jobs, and lower costs. 

With a commitment to lower costs, Harrold says his policy empowers Michigan’s workforce and promotes equal pay. He says his economic policy would help families make ends meet by directly reaching workers and bolster the right to organize and prop up state programs that ensure workers can support themselves and their families.

Harrold says his time spent with the Michigan-based company, Dow Chemical Company, and the U.S. Department of State, offers insights that go beyond policy proposals and that address the demands and complexities of Michigan.
