Rep. Donni Steele Touts Experience in State House Race

Michigan State Representative Donni Steele of the 54th State House District says her economic policy is backed up by years of small business experience.

Michigan, like many states, has faced economic challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Steele says that government-mandated shutdowns have affected small businesses and changed the way businesses operate. According to her site, she supports policies that cut “oversight and overreach” and encourage competition. Additionally, she says her policies address broader concerns such as the state’s labor shortage. Michigan's population decline has raised alarms about the state's economic vitality. Steele says she would support legislation that creates more job opportunities and stability to retain and attract workers and people to Michigan.

Steele has been in public office since 2012. She was formerly an Orion Township Trustee and Orion Township Treasurer.
