Rep. Brian Munroe Aims To Lower Costs for Pennsylvania Families and Expand Opportunities for Workers

State Representative Brian Munroe, representing Pennsylvania’s 144th State House district, says he aims to continue his mission to ease the economic burden facing working families across the state. 

Munroe says his economic plan prioritizes policy that delivers a living wage, workers rights, and ensures families can afford groceries and pay their bills.

With an unemployment rate of 3.4%, Pennsylvania’s job market is strong, but the cost of basic goods and needs remain top of mind for voters ahead of the upcoming election. Munroe says he is committed to addressing this concern and aims to drive job creation and economic growth by encouraging investments in green jobs and small businesses and promoting equal pay regardless of race, sexuality, gender, or religion. 

As Pennsylvania’s economic landscape evolves, Munroe says that a strong economy requires strong infrastructure to keep up and that the future is in green energy. He pledges to attract more jobs to the state by investing in energy-efficient and alternative fuel sources in Pennsylvania.

Munroe says he recognizes the significance of education in fostering a robust economy, and advocates for affordable higher education and vocational-technical training. He proposes overhauling school funding mechanisms and addressing student debt to ensure accessibility to education for all Pennsylvanians. With workers rights top of mind for many Pennsylvanians, Munroe says he supports raising the minimum wage and reforming laws to ensure service workers are not overly reliant on tips.
