Meet State House Race Candidate: Steve Frisbie, Who Says “A Financial Reset” Is His Priority

Steve Frisbie, a candidate for Michigan’s 44th House State District, has pledged to advocate for financial policies that benefit Michigan families and communities and change government spending.

Frisbie says he believes “it’s time for a financial reset” in Michigan. He says there is a need for fiscal policies that ensure a government that is efficient and effective.

With 40 years of experience at LifeCare Ambulance Service, including roles in management and administration, Frisbie says he brings knowledge in healthcare and emergency services to his candidacy. His tenure as a Calhoun County Commissioner spanned 13 years with a stint as Board Chair from 2019-2023. Frisbie says he is dedicated to education, reflected in his 23 years as an adjunct instructor at Kalamazoo Community College. His involvement with the local community includes coaching youth baseball and football.

Frisbie has a Bachelor's degree in business management from Miller College, a paramedic certificate and business studies from Davenport College, and has taken courses at Kellogg Community College in General Studies. He resides in Pennfield Township in Calhoun County.

Frisbie will face Just Shotts and Alexander W. Harris in the upcoming Republican primary on August 6.
