Hadley Haas Says She’s Focused On Bringing Good Paying Jobs in State House Race
Hadley Haas, a native of Pittsburgh, says the core planks of her campaign for Pennsylvania’s 44th House District are to bring good-paying jobs and invest in workers in Allegheny County and across Pennsylvania.
“We need to do more to bring good paying jobs to Pittsburgh, and invest in labor so workers are protected and paid what they are worth,” says Haas on the matter of economy.
The Keystone’s economic landscape serves as a backdrop for Haas’ economic plan. As of March 2024, Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate is at 3.4% against the nation’s 3.8%. Opportunities exist in Pennsylvania and Hass says that her economic plan would bring good-paying jobs to Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas and deliver investments so that workers are protected and paid fairly.
In addition to her economic priorities, Haas says she will push for investments in Pennsylvania’s public schools. Haas believes that a good education is key to families moving up the ladder and more opportunities. She says her policy will direct money to young people, curb poverty, and “ensure everyone has an opportunity to thrive.”
Haas has served as the elections chair for Moms Demand Action, and co-led the Pittsburgh chapter. She attended the University of Michigan, where she graduated with a degree in economics and communications.
