The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Yankees 7-6 in Game 5 of the World Series. The Dodgers, who were behind 5-0 after the first four innings of the game, came back to win the game and the series. The World Series final game took place at Yankees Stadium on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. 

The Dodgers’ last World Series win was in 2020, during the pandemic. 
CNN’s Omar Jimenez, who was in the Dodgers’ clubhouse as they celebrated their win, said, “[t]his is a team coming in setting a lot of records, had high expectations and delivered. This is a manifestation of all that hard work. … You’ve got the celebration, you’ve got the beer poured on it and, most importantly, you get the World Series trophy.”
