John Krasinski Named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive

John Krasinski has been named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive. The star, best known for his role as Jim in The Office, is 45 years old and lives in Brooklyn with his wife, actress Emily Blunt, and their two daughters. 

During an interview with PEOPLE, in response to being asked how he felt when he heard the news, Krasinski said, “[j]ust immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts… Other than maybe I'm being punked. That's not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I'll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”
In an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Colbert asked Krasinski how his wife reacted when he told her the news. Krasinski commented that he couldn’t understand her because “there was so much laughter on the other end of the phone.”
