Andy Murray Retires At The Paris Olympics

Ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray announced that the tournament would be his last time stepping on the court before he retired.

Competing on Great Britain’s team for the fifth time, Murray entered the men’s doubles draw with Dan Evans. The duo made it through two thrilling rounds before losing to Americans Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.

Murray has had an admirable career, accumulating 46 titles, holding the title of highest-ranked ATP tennis player in 2016, and twice winning Olympic gold in singles, the only male tennis player to have done so.

The Olympian’s retirement marks the end of one of the most remarkable careers in tennis history.
